On 29 November 2023, the STEAM Learning Ecologies partner APRE (Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea) officially kick-off started the SLEs pilot project in Italy, co-developing and implementing a learning pathway on environmental sustainability and active citizenship through the involvement of different stakeholders.
Researchers from ENEA (the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) met middle-school students, and inspired and informed them about circular economy principles through a series of videos, presentations, and engaging Q&A sessions. With this, the project stakeholders stimulated pupils’ reasoning and reflection on behavioural changes. The upcoming day, the students visited the premises of FAO (the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) in Rome to learn more about Sustainable Development Goals and their application.
