The goal of the SLEs project is to build new local partnerships that promote an open schooling approach to learning, encouraging a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. By fostering the creation of diverse science education opportunities, we aim to involve the entire community in a continuous learning process. In the first year of the project, we successfully implemented 13 pilot initiatives, engaging over 600 stakeholders across 13 European countries. These efforts are expected to significantly boost young people’s interest and participation in science.

As we move into the second year, our ambition is to expand the creation of Science Learning Ecologies (SLEs), further embedding STE(A)M education within communities across Europe. This session is an opportunity to reflect on the progress we’ve made and to explore the value that a well-structured learning ecology can bring to communities.

During the session, participants will have the chance to hear from key speakers who have been directly involved in the piloting phase of the SLEs project. These experts will share their insights and experiences, offering an in-depth look at:

  • The overarching vision and objectives behind their pilot projects.
  • Key highlights and innovative activities that were integral to their success.
  • The tangible benefits these initiatives have brought to their organisations and local communities.

We invite you to join us in this discussion as we continue to shape the future of STE(A)M education across Europe!
